During the fifth day of deliberations in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial, a 56-year-old woman faced charges in Plymouth District Court for allegedly intimidating jurors or witnesses in connection with the trial. Dawn Light was accused of recording jurors leaving the court shortly after they indicated they could not agree on Clancy’s criminal responsibility for the deaths of her three children.

Light’s lawyer claimed it was a misunderstanding, stating that she intended to film Clancy instead.

Meanwhile, in Clancy’s trial courtroom, Judge William Sullivan issued a general warning about adhering to courtroom conduct guidelines at the start of proceedings.

The trial, which has captivated the public over the past five weeks, has sparked discussions on maternal mental health, fueled online conspiracy theories, and produced intense moments both inside and outside the court due to the extensive interest in the livestreamed trial.

Clancy, aged 36, stands accused of killing her three children in 2023 while her husband was away. Testimony in the Plymouth County Superior Court revealed that she used exercise bands to strangle Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and eight-month-old Callan in the basement of their home in Duxbury, a Boston suburb.

While Clancy’s defense does not contest the killings, they argue that her bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis, a rare mental health condition affecting a new mother’s perception of reality, render her not criminally responsible.

The prosecution maintains that Clancy planned the killings to coincide with her husband’s absence, leading to three first-degree murder charges against her.

Here are some significant events that have unfolded since the trial commenced on July 27.
