An investigation into the tragic death of a devoted Oasis fan who fell to his demise at Wembley Stadium has concluded, as revealed during the inquest proceedings today. Lee Claydon passed away on August 2 following injuries indicative of a fall, plunging from the upper tier of the stadium during a sold-out concert by the iconic band.

Attending one of Oasis’ highly anticipated Live ’25 reunion tour concerts with his brother and niece and nephew, the evening took a sorrowful turn for the 45-year-old landscape gardener. Detective Sergeant James Raffin of the Met Police confirmed at the Barnet Coroner’s Court hearing that the police investigation is now closed, ruling out any foul play in what appears to be a tragic accident.

DS Raffin mentioned that toxicology reports raised no red flags and clarified that alcohol consumption by Mr. Claydon was within expected norms for event attendees. Acknowledging the family’s concerns about the incident, he assured that these would be relayed to Brent Council for further review.

Emphasizing that suicide has been ruled out, the police will hand over their findings for assessment by the local authority, with the full inquest scheduled for February 26 next year. Oasis expressed shock and sadness over the incident, extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends.

The initial inquest, led by Senior Coroner Andrew Walker, reported Mr. Claydon’s unfortunate passing at a Wembley medical facility shortly after the fall, with a subsequent post-mortem identifying multiple bodily injuries as the cause of death. Detective Inspector Aimee-Leigh Sando disclosed ongoing efforts to gather evidence, including CCTV footage and witness statements, to piece together the events surrounding the tragedy.

In a poignant tribute shared on social media, Mr. Claydon’s girlfriend, Amanda, lamented his absence and professed unwavering love, reminiscing about their shared experiences and the bright future they anticipated together.
