“Father Finds Deceased Son’s Brain in Washing Machine Mishap”

Published on

A grieving father had to remove his deceased son’s brain from a washing machine following a shocking mistake made by a funeral home. Alexander Pinon passed away on May 19, prompting his family to seek the services of the Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel in San Jose, California, for his funeral arrangements.

According to the family’s legal representative, Samer Habbas, the relatives intended to change Alexander’s attire before his burial. However, when the clothes he was wearing at the time of his death were returned to the family, they discovered a distressing error. Instead of his clothing, the bag given to Alex’s father contained brain matter, which spilled into the washing machine as he emptied it.

Unaware of the contents, the father had to extract the brain matter from the machine and return it to the funeral home. Despite the disturbing incident, a staff member named Anita Singh reportedly took the bag without explanation or apology from the family.

Following these events, Alexander was laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose. Weeks later, an anonymous employee from the funeral home disclosed that the brain belonged to Alex. Allegations surfaced that Singh had left the brain in a box outside for an extended period, leading to a foul smell when it was eventually discovered.

Expressing concern over the situation, Habbas stressed the importance of transparency in handling such errors. He highlighted the emotional toll on Alex’s parents, noting that the trauma they experienced would stay with them indefinitely. The Mirror reached out to the Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel for a response, which has not been received at the time of reporting.
