Drake delighted his fans with a diverse showcase, including the debut of multiple new songs, in his highly anticipated “not so short film” released on Tuesday night. Described as such in a teaser on his Instagram last week, the hour-long film, titled “Fear of Missing Out (FOMO),” was broadcasted live on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple platforms. The film provided a glimpse into Drake’s summer adventures and luxurious lifestyle, showcasing scenes of him dancing in his expansive Toronto mansion, spending time with his mother Sandra Graham and her friends, and cruising on his lime-green luxury speedboat towards the Toronto skyline.

Filled with Toronto and Canada-specific references and hidden surprises, the video featured Drake and fellow rapper Loe Shimmy in extravagant $150,000 Iron Man suits strolling through the Canadian National Exhibition. The star-studded film included appearances from notable figures such as SexyyRed, Stunna Sandy, model Winnie Harlow, NBA star Kevin Durant, porn star Lena the Plug, and more. Introducing new music, the film previewed unreleased collaborations with artists like Don Toliver, PartyNextDoor, and Yeat, in addition to debuting nine fresh tracks, including Drake’s much-anticipated remix of Ella Langley’s hit “Choosin’ Texas.”

During the Toronto premiere of “FOMO,” Drake revealed plans for a world tour in 2027, exciting his fans with the announcement. Despite the film being made private on YouTube shortly after its initial release, reactions from viewers were mixed. While some expressed disappointment in the content, others praised the film for symbolizing Drake’s longevity and consistency in the music industry. Jamaican dancehall artist Spice even congratulated Drake on social media, commending his dedication and passion showcased in “FOMO.”

Known by his real name Aubrey Graham, Drake had built up anticipation for the film through cryptic social media posts, gradually unveiling hints of the project. With a self-funded production and a reflective caption describing it as “surrealism,” Drake encouraged viewers to make the most of life’s opportunities and embrace bold decisions. Offering motivation and challenging perceptions about the music industry, Drake’s “FOMO” left a lasting impression on his audience, urging them to seize the moment and appreciate the journey.
