Samsung is set to unveil its latest portable projector, the Freestyle+, at the upcoming CES tech show in Las Vegas. This compact device is an upgraded version of the original Freestyle projector released in 2022, boasting enhanced AI capabilities, brighter visuals, and an expanded range of entertainment options.
One notable improvement in the Freestyle+ is its simplified setup process for users. Powered by Samsung’s AI OptiScreen technology, the projector can automatically adjust its display settings to match the environment it’s in, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. This feature enables users to easily start enjoying content from platforms like Netflix and Disney+ on virtually any wall.
The AI OptiScreen technology offers additional intelligent features to enhance the viewing experience, including 3D Auto Keystone for correcting image distortion on uneven surfaces, Real-time Focus to maintain sharpness while moving the projector, Screen Fit for automatic image sizing on compatible screens, and Wall Calibration to optimize image quality based on the projection surface.
Designed for portability, the Freestyle+ retains the ease of mobility of its predecessor, featuring a built-in speaker, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. Samsung aims to provide a seamless and high-quality viewing experience with the Freestyle+, catering to users’ dynamic lifestyles.
Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, expressed the company’s commitment to creating adaptable display solutions that align with consumers’ evolving needs. The Freestyle+ is expected to hit stores early in 2026, offering a blend of portability, intelligent features, and immersive entertainment options.
