A woman known as “Satan’s puppet” has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for breaking into her neighbor’s home, murdering her, and drinking her blood. Cynthia Ming, 54, initially pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity for the killing of 45-year-old Angie Melissa Moore but later changed her plea to guilty, accepting a 50-year sentence deal.
On the night of September 6, 2022, Moore called 911 to report an attempted break-in at her residence. Police found Moore dead, naked, and covered in blood at her home on Whispering Ave. Ming was apprehended after attempting to flee and admitted to breaking in, taking a firearm from Moore, shooting her in the head, and drinking her blood because Moore had allegedly killed her dog.
Ming, diagnosed with multiple personality disorders, claimed she was “bugged out” after an electrical incident at her home but insisted she was in control during the crime. Despite being eligible for parole in 25 years, prosecutors doubt Ming will receive early release due to the severity of her actions.
Prosecutors cited the plea agreement as a strategic choice to avoid the uncertainties of a trial and potential appeals. Ming’s lawyer, Clay Thomas, expressed readiness for a trial but respected his client’s decision. Victim impact statements from Moore’s parents highlighted the devastation caused by Ming’s actions, with Moore’s son labeling her “Satan’s puppet.”
In an emotional testimony, Moore’s father directly addressed Ming, condemning her as a “cold-blooded murderer” and expressing a desire for her to remain imprisoned.
