Russia’s Defense Ministry announced plans to increase military strikes in Kyiv and other areas of Ukraine in response to statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The intensified attacks will target military installations, defense industry locations, and associated infrastructure in Kyiv and across Ukraine.
Zelenskyy disclosed in an interview with Reuters that Ukraine would retaliate by targeting Russian oil refineries following Moscow’s strategy of airstrikes aimed at pressuring residents to flee Kyiv and other urban centers. He emphasized that civilian populations would not be the focus of these actions.
Simultaneously, in Russia’s Krasnodar region, a fire erupted at an industrial site in the Temryuk district after debris from a drone strike hit the facility. Three individuals sustained injuries and were under medical care, with emergency teams actively managing the situation.
