MAGA Influencer Couple Suspected in UK Racial Assault

Published on

Police suspect that a woman who sought to become Donald Trump’s press secretary and her partner, wanted for an alleged racial assault in London, have departed the UK. Identified as Philip Ostermann and Melissa Rein Lively, the couple left the country prior to the British Transport Police’s recent appeal. Ostermann, an associate director at a Munich-based private equity firm called Aequita, reportedly left Britain on October 14.

Meanwhile, MAGA influencer Rein Lively, aged 40, is believed to have departed ten days later. She is known as a political consultant and PR professional who vied for the role of White House spokesperson for Trump’s second term before Karoline Leavitt was chosen.

British Transport Police officers are actively attempting to contact and engage with the pair before determining the next steps in their investigation. The appeal was launched following claims of racial abuse and assault by a family in central London on October 11.

The altercation occurred at Bond Street station around 7:30 pm when a pushchair accidentally hit the woman in question, as depicted in a photo shared by a senior police officer on social media. A BTP spokesperson stated that efforts to identify the couple were made after the incident was reported, followed by a media appeal that received significant attention.

Based on current investigations, it is believed that the couple no longer resides in the UK, with Ostermann leaving on October 14 and Rein Lively on October 24, prior to the media appeal. The authorities are maintaining efforts to establish contact with them and will proceed with the investigation accordingly. Regular updates are being provided to the victim and her family as the inquiry progresses.

A BTP spokesperson previously mentioned that an investigation was initiated after a woman was allegedly attacked following a minor collision with the couple. The victim was reportedly accompanied by her sister and two young children, one in a pushchair.

Allegedly, the man directed racial insults at the woman and her family, leading to a physical altercation where the woman defended herself by using what she claimed to be pepper spray. The woman purportedly made obscene gestures and racially offensive remarks before departing the scene. Subsequently, it was revealed that the woman in the BTP-issued photo was Mrs. Lively, who had previously sought the position of Trump’s White House press secretary.
