In Co Dublin, a much-loved stag was tragically killed by intruders who entered the park where it resided overnight. The brutal discovery of the decapitated stag, part of the deer herd at Newbridge Demesne in Donabate, has caused widespread outrage. The incident was reported by Fingal County Council on November 27.
The perpetrators broke into the park and committed the heinous act, resulting in the death of the stag. The public, who cherished the stag for its impressive antlers, is expected to be deeply saddened by the loss. The eight-year-old stag was a prominent attraction in North County Dublin and was one of two stags in the herd.
Mayor of Fingal, Tom O’Leary, expressed his shock and dismay over the incident, emphasizing the importance of bringing the culprits to justice. Ivan Smith, Foreman of Works at Newbridge House and Traditional Farm, also conveyed his shock at the incident, highlighting the stag’s popularity among park visitors.
