Virgin Media is introducing a new enhancement to its television platform, offering customers three bonus channels for free. This upgrade includes Rakuten’s three Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels, providing viewers with additional drama, comedy, and sci-fi content.

The newly added channels are Rakuten TV Drama on Ch462, showcasing popular movies like The Big Short, Gosford Park, and JFK. Customers can also enjoy Rakuten TV Comedy on Ch463, featuring films such as Big Momma’s House, The Internship, and Bedazzled. Additionally, Rakuten TV: Sci Fi on Ch464 will cater to fans of science fiction content.

Virgin TV 360 and Flex subscribers will automatically receive these new channels, with no action required. The channels are easily accessible through Virgin Media’s TV guide and can be found using voice control for added convenience.

David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the value and quality of the new streaming channels, offering a diverse range of entertainment options at no extra cost. With these latest additions, Virgin TV customers now have access to a total of 40 FAST channels, enriching their viewing experience.

While Virgin Media TV requires a monthly subscription fee, the expanded channel lineup surpasses what is available through free services, providing customers with a broader selection of content.
