Morrisons is distributing more than 27 tonnes of carrots for customers to offer to Rudolph and his companions. From December 20 until Christmas Eve, shoppers can obtain a complimentary carrot from the “Naturally Wonky” selection, subject to availability. These carrots may have slightly unconventional shapes or sizes.
Chris Smith, the Senior Trader for Root Vegetables at Morrisons, expressed, “Christmas is a time for spreading happiness and goodwill, so we are pleased to provide our young customers with a free wonky carrot to leave out for Rudolph and his pals on Christmas Eve.”
He added, “Our Naturally Wonky range supports local farmers, minimizes waste, and offers customers an affordable option that still delivers excellent taste.”
This initiative coincides with various prominent UK supermarkets reducing the cost of Christmas vegetables to only 5p, encompassing potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. Below, you can find a comprehensive list of discounted Christmas vegetables.
