Luke Littler humorously mentioned that he might entertain the idea of venturing into the I’m a Celebrity jungle if a substantial £50 million offer was on the table, despite being deterred by this year’s show. The 18-year-old darts prodigy has been closely monitoring the current season to support his friend, Angry Ginge, who is a contestant. Speculation arose about Littler possibly joining the show due to his connection with Angry Ginge, with Littler indicating his openness if the financial terms were right.
When asked about the possibility of participating in the show, Littler stated, “Maybe, if the price is right. I could consider a brief stint.” However, he has now revealed more insights into the monetary figure required for him to consider the offer, expressing reservations about facing the challenges depicted on the show.
During an interview with talkSPORT, Littler confessed, “I previously mentioned I would consider it for the right amount, but after witnessing the challenges, I have doubts about my ability to partake.” When questioned about accepting £10 million, Littler declined. However, when the interviewer proposed a substantial £50 million, Littler changed his response to a tentative “maybe.”
Littler elaborated on his apprehensions about the jungle environment, particularly the presence of snakes, indicating his reluctance to commit to the experience. Despite his jest about potentially flying over, he firmly denied any immediate plans to participate.
While Angry Ginge prepares for upcoming challenges, Littler is gearing up to defend his title at the PDC World Darts Championship, commencing at Ally Pally next month. Having clinched the world championship last year as the youngest champion in darts history, Littler returns to the venue as the new world No 1, aiming to replicate Gary Anderson’s feat of retaining the Sid Waddell trophy, a feat not achieved in a decade. His title defense starts with a match against Darius Labanauskas on December 11.
