A 16-year-old boy’s cause of death at Barry Island in May remains unknown, as a coroner’s court revealed that a post-mortem examination could not determine the circumstances leading to his passing.
On May 23, South Wales Police were alerted to Taha Ali Soomro experiencing cardiac arrest at Barry Island Pleasure Park. Despite CPR efforts, paramedics pronounced Taha dead at the scene.
The post-mortem report conducted by Dr. Stephen Leadbeater at the University Hospital of Wales stated the provisional cause of death as unascertained, according to Wales Online.
During the inquest opening, Coroner Graeme Hughes stated the need to initiate an inquest based on the evidence presented concerning Taha Ali Soomro’s death.
The inquest was adjourned, with a future date for proceedings to be determined.
Fitzalan High School paid tribute to Taha, describing him as a cherished member of the school community. The school’s statement expressed deep sorrow and offered condolences to Taha’s family and loved ones during this challenging time.
