Teenage Apprentices Tragically Killed in Air Hose Pranks

Published on

A tragic incident involving the death of a Turkish teenager has been reported as a cruel prank by his coworkers. Muhammed Kendirci, a 15-year-old apprentice in carpentry, succumbed to severe internal injuries after being restrained by his colleagues, with his employer Habip Aksoy allegedly leading the harmful actions. The coworkers reportedly tied up Kendirci, forcibly removed his pants, and inserted an air compressor hose into his rectum, resulting in fatal organ damage.

Kendirci was rushed to Harran University Research and Application Hospital, where he passed away from the grievous injuries sustained during the incident. Aksoy was initially taken into custody by the authorities but was later released on bail. However, he was subsequently rearrested, with his charges pending determination.

This tragic event is not an isolated case involving the misuse of high-pressure air tubes. These tools, commonly used for various tasks such as vehicle maintenance and operating nail guns, have been linked to the deaths of two other young individuals in recent years, as reported by the Express US.

In a similar occurrence in India in 2023, 16-year-old Motilal Sahu lost his life after a colleague inserted a compressed air tube into his rectum as a “fun” act at a factory. Dheerajsingh Goud, 21, reportedly took the hose from his cleaning equipment and caused severe damage to Sahu’s bowels, leading to his tragic demise.

The past incidents include the case of Wesner Moreira da Silva, a 17-year-old car wash worker who died in 2017 after coworkers inserted a high-pressure air hose into his rectum, causing fatal internal injuries. Subsequently, Thiago Giovanni Demarco Sena and Willian Enrique Larrea were convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering Silva, resulting in lengthy prison sentences exceeding 12 years.
