Following a significant police operation in response to a firearms scare, multiple schools in the vicinity were placed on lockdown. New South Wales Police officers were summoned to Beaumont Hills in Sydney after concerned citizens reported suspicious activity at approximately 10:24 am local time on Monday, November 24. As a precautionary measure, several nearby schools went into lockdown.

Witnesses captured images of a heavy police presence as officers conducted a thorough search of the area. Local residents were advised to steer clear of the vicinity while authorities conducted their investigations. Upon engaging with the individual in question, it was determined that the firearms in question were actually toy replicas with no threat to public safety.

By early afternoon, law enforcement confirmed the conclusion of the operation and lifted the lockdowns at the affected schools. A spokesperson from the New South Wales Police stated that the incident at Beaumont Hills had been resolved, emphasizing that the reported firearms turned out to be harmless toys collected during a local cleanup. The spokesperson also reiterated the seriousness with which all reports are taken and expressed gratitude to the community for their cooperation.
