Masked Stalker: Husband’s Shocking Demise Unveils Haunting Past

Published on

On a chilly January Friday, a woman contacted the authorities to report her husband, Kenneth “Kenny” Fandrich, 56, as missing after failing to return home from work. Tanya informed the police that Kenny’s phone signal indicated it was still within the tech company’s parking structure where he worked as a contract fitter. Expressing concern, she mentioned Kenny’s history with a stalker, adding to her worry.

Responding swiftly, police officers and Tanya hurried to the multi-storey car park in Portland, Oregon. There, they discovered Kenny slouched in the driver’s seat of his car, appearing as if he had drifted off to sleep. However, upon closer examination, it was revealed that Kenny had tragically passed away, leaving Tanya distraught.

The interior of Kenny’s black Honda Civic showed no signs of violence. His personal belongings, including his lunch box, keys, and phone, were neatly arranged on the passenger seat. Little blood was visible. The question arose: had Kenny succumbed to natural causes?

Despite initial uncertainties, Tanya’s persistence proved justified as an autopsy disclosed that Kenny had met his demise on January 27, 2023, due to blunt and compressive trauma to the neck.

Authorities initiated a thorough review of the car park’s surveillance footage. They identified a masked individual sporting red mirror-tinted glasses and a hard hat sabotaging the cameras by spraying them with blue paint at 7 am that fateful morning. This act went unnoticed by the company’s security team.

Unaffected cameras captured a vehicle believed to belong to the suspect, an old maroon Dodge van lacking a front license plate. The footage showed the van parked beside Kenny’s vehicle shortly after Kenny arrived at the car park at 3:21 pm following the end of his shift.

Though obscured by the blue paint, Kenny’s headlights were observed flashing, indicating he may have unlocked his car using his key fob. Investigators theorized that at that moment, the masked individual seized Kenny and forcibly transferred him into the maroon van. Kenny’s headlights continued to flicker, suggesting a struggle ensued before his body was placed back in his own car. The primary focus for law enforcement became locating the elusive van.

Recounting a previous incident, the crime scene’s security team recalled a man, clad in a construction helmet, black glasses, and a mask, spray-painting the cameras a month earlier. Upon comparison of the footage, authorities were convinced it was the same individual, albeit sporting different glasses and a distinctive forehead crease. The question lingered: who harbored ill intentions towards Kenny?

Tanya informed the police about the stalker who had tormented Kenny, identifying him as her former employer, Dr. Steven Milner. Milner, a prosperous veterinarian renowned for his compassion towards animals and their owners, had engaged in an affair with Tanya during her tenure as a vet tech at his clinic for nearly 19 years.

The affair, which commenced in 2017 during a challenging period in Tanya’s marriage, was exposed by Kenny in July of the same year. Tanya terminated the affair, left the clinic, and endeavored to reconcile with Kenny. However, Milner’s relentless harassment of Kenny commenced, with threatening phone calls and unwelcome visits to their residence in Oregon City, Oregon.

Milner’s intimidation tactics escalated, with menacing statements implying harm towards Kenny. Despite Kenny’s efforts to seek legal protection and halt the harassment, Milner persisted in his pursuit, sending fervent letters to Tanya professing his love while instilling fear in Kenny.

In a disturbing turn of events, Milner trailed Kenny from Oregon City to Hillsboro in March 2022, prompting Kenny to contact the authorities out of concern for his safety. Milner, justifying his actions as protective measures for Tanya, received a warning from law enforcement. Subsequently, Kenny sought further legal recourse with another protection order against Milner.

Growing increasingly unsettled, Kenny discovered another tracking device on his car in August 2022, leading to Milner’s arrest and pending trial. Kenny pursued a civil lawsuit against Milner for invasion of privacy and emotional distress, yearning for a cessation to the torment.

Milner emerged as the prime suspect in Kenny’s untimely demise, culminating in his arrest and subsequent charges of second-degree murder and stalking. Search warrants were executed on Milner’s properties, unearthing incriminating evidence including a framed photo of Tanya in his bedroom and affectionate notes, despite their estrangement.

Efforts to locate the crucial maroon van, believed to be the scene of Kenny’s demise, ensued. Milner, who typically drove a white Toyota SUV, was found to have frequented a Home Depot in Oregon City on the day of Kenny’s murder, positioning him in close proximity to the crime scene.

Staff at the Home Depot disclosed sightings of a maroon minivan and a blue sedan
