Campbell reflected on their loss, stating, “We are absolutely heartbroken – it was so unexpected… We had so many plans coming up, so it has knocked us for six, but obviously we are trying to be there for each other.” He acknowledged the tremendous support from the public, emphasizing their collective sorrow.

The funeral procession for Hatton will commence from Gee Cross, his residence, passing through Hyde and heading to Manchester Cathedral before concluding at the Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City, a team close to Hatton’s heart. Campbell highlighted that filling the streets with supporters aligns with his father’s wishes, as Hatton valued his fanbase above all else. He emphasized, “So what he’d want would be the streets to be full of people…because everything he did, he did for his fans.”
