Yvonne Ejim led the team with 19 points, contributing to Canada’s undefeated 3-0 record, while Syla Swords added 17 points to the scoreboard. On the Mexican side, Mariana Valenzuela scored 17 points.
Next, Canada is scheduled to face New Zealand in the semifinals on Saturday, while the host country will compete against Brazil. The tournament’s final match is set for Sunday. The ultimate winner of the tournament will secure a spot in one of the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in February 2028.
