People have described instances of coyotes approaching them and their pets, with some encounters being unsettling, such as a woman being chased by a coyote in Les Sherman Park.

City Councilor David Froh recently had a close encounter with a coyote during his morning run at Les Sherman Park. Following these sightings, the City of Regina has been coordinating with provincial conservation officers to safely remove and relocate the coyotes from the affected neighborhoods.

Froh emphasized the importance of public safety in dealing with wildlife sightings. While coyote sightings may cause concern, he highlighted that they are not uncommon in Regina and urged residents to report any encounters that pose a safety risk.
