An annoyed Luke Littler has criticized a darts coach who disapproved of his participation in the World Youth Championship, referring to him as an ‘absolute helmet’. Littler, aged 18, competed at the event in Wigan recently but was defeated in the semi-finals by rising star Beau Greaves, who ultimately claimed victory.
‘The Nuke’ expressed his enjoyment of the experience and commended Greaves, a three-time women’s world champion at just 21 years old. However, Cornwall had a different view on the matter.
In a scathing review on the Mission Darts Podcast, Cornwall described Littler’s decision as “ridiculous” and criticized his focus on self-promotion rather than considering others’ opportunities. Littler responded to Cornwall’s remarks with a harsh social media post, labeling him as an “absolute helmet” and distancing himself from any association with Cornwall.
Defending his choice to compete in the tournament, Littler emphasized the importance of gaining experience in a professional setting, despite facing criticism for his decision. Cornwall also targeted Bunting, questioning his playing style and consistency in major tournaments.
