Areas like the Chiltern Hills in the Home Counties are likely to experience light snowfall, while parts of Suffolk in the East of England may also see minor accumulations of snow.
The most severe weather is anticipated in Scotland today, where transport and infrastructure disruptions are expected. The Met Office warns of significant snowfall reaching heights of 2-10cm in some areas.
Wednesday’s forecast is particularly grim along the east coast of England, with up to eight inches of snow projected for parts of Humberside, North Yorkshire, and the Northeast of England. Scotland is also expected to face similar snow levels on Wednesday, according to the Met Office.
Other forecasters predict snow in places like Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire today. However, the locations mentioned above are likely to experience the heaviest snowfall and have been issued weather warnings accordingly.
