Police are in pursuit of a rapist following a brutal assault on a woman in a park during the early hours. The incident took place in Brodie Park, Paisley, Renfrewshire at around 4:30 am today, according to Police Scotland. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s with a local accent, dressed in dark grey attire.

Authorities have announced an escalation in patrols in the vicinity as the victim was subjected to a severe sexual assault. A Police Scotland spokesperson mentioned that while the woman did not require hospitalization, she was left deeply distressed by the incident.

Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie from Inverclyde CID expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “This was a horrific experience for the woman, and we are leaving no stone unturned to apprehend the perpetrator. Intensive investigations are underway with heightened police presence and visible patrols in the park throughout the week. Anyone with pertinent information or concerns is urged to contact the officers on duty.”
