“New Clues Emerge in MH370 Mystery”

Published on

One individual asserts to have witnessed the well-known Boeing 777, carrying 239 passengers, being consumed by flames.

The mysterious occurrence began a decade ago on March 8, 2014, when the Malaysia Airlines flight 370 disappeared during its journey from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. This incident remains the most significant enigma in aviation history and the deadliest to date. A worker on a New Zealand oil rig, Mike McKay, lost his job in 2014 after reporting a sighting of what he believed to be MH370 on fire while taking a break at the Songa Mercur oil rig off the coast of Vietnam. McKay claimed to have observed a burning aircraft at high altitude and promptly informed his employers via email, expressing his belief that he had witnessed the Malaysian Airlines flight descending. He emphasized the urgency of his message but was unsure if it had reached the relevant authorities.

The leaked email disclosed McKay’s name and workplace details. Despite feeling embarrassed by the situation, McKay prioritized the families of those affected by the flight’s disappearance, stating that his primary goal was to assist in locating their loved ones. He raised several questions regarding the flight’s deviation from its expected path after losing contact, the delay in releasing radar data, the investigation of sonar locators in the Indian Ocean, and the significance of metal stress reports related to debris found on Reunion Island. McKay suggested that the pilot may have attempted to navigate away from other flight paths until daylight, speculating on the potential location of the plane’s breakup.

Following McKay’s report, Vietnamese authorities dispatched aircraft to search for the plane. However, recent search efforts conducted by the marine robotics company Ocean Infinity were paused in April, with Malaysia’s Transport Minister, Anthony Loke, citing seasonal factors as the reason for the halt. The search operation is expected to resume later in the year. Ismail Hammad, Chief Engineer at Egyptair, proposed a solution to expedite the search for the missing MH370 plane, questioning the authenticity of images depicting the wreckage and the condition of the plane’s paint upon recovery from the ocean.
