Share

Easter, which falls on Sunday, April 20 this year, could affect some State Pension and benefit payments due on Good Friday or Easter Monday. HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Social Security Scotland have already confirmed that some payments due on these days will be made early. Payments such as State Pension, Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Child Benefits, Adult Disability Payment (ADP) and Attendance Allowance due on Friday, April 18 or Monday, April 21 will arrive in bank accounts on Thursday, April 17.

It is crucial to note that if your upcoming payment does not fall on either of the bank holidays, it will be paid as usual, reports the Daily Record.

Below is a comprehensive list of DWP and HMRC s which could be affected by the Easter bank holiday weekend. If your benefit or payment is not listed, it will not be affected by the Easter bank holiday weekend.

The DWP has yet to confirm any changes to payment dates, but it is anticipated that they will follow the same revised schedule as HMRC. Benefits due to be paid on Friday, April 18 or Monday, April 21 will now be paid on Thursday, April 17.
