Lewis Hamilton has once again communicated his concerns to Ferrari management, emphasizing the need for changes in the team’s operations. The seven-time world champion has faced challenges since joining Ferrari from Mercedes last season.

Hamilton, aged 40, has yet to secure a podium finish with Ferrari and currently sits in sixth place in the drivers’ standings before the upcoming United States Grand Prix, trailing his teammate Charles Leclerc by 48 points.

During the Belgium Grand Prix in July, Hamilton revealed that he has been submitting a series of “documents” to Ferrari throughout the season in an effort to turn his fortunes around after a difficult start.

Reports from August indicated that Hamilton’s communications focused on proposed modifications to the car and the team’s working procedures, particularly the communication between different departments during race weekends.

According to the Italian publication Corriere della Sera, Hamilton has sent another communication to Ferrari’s top management, emphasizing the necessity for widespread changes within the team.

It has been noted that Hamilton had anticipated having a greater influence on decisions at Ferrari but has encountered challenges in implementing his suggestions and navigating internal politics.

Hamilton’s situation at Ferrari has drawn comparisons to Sebastian Vettel, a four-time world champion who struggled to instigate changes during his tenure at the team from 2015 to 2020.

In preparation for his move to Ferrari, Hamilton sought advice from Vettel in January, engaging in discussions to exchange insights and experiences as fellow world champions.

Following an incident in the pit lane during qualifying at the Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton highlighted an area for improvement at Ferrari, pointing out the issue of losing tyre temperature, which affected their performance during flying laps.

Hamilton emphasized the importance of optimizing tyre temperature management to enhance performance and suggested that quicker pit lane strategies could be a key area for improvement.
