Lewis Hamilton has expressed his disapproval of rumors linking Christian Horner to a potential move to Ferrari, stating that they are detrimental to the team’s efforts to improve performance. Hamilton is striving to help Ferrari return to winning races after a challenging season following his switch from Mercedes.
Previously, Hamilton had shown support for Frederic Vasseur, as Ferrari did by extending Vasseur’s contract just months ago. Recent media speculation suggests that Horner might be available for 2026 after finalizing his departure from Red Bull.
During a press conference in Austin before the United States Grand Prix, Hamilton addressed the rumors surrounding Horner, emphasizing that continuity is crucial for the team’s progress. He expressed his concerns about the distractions caused by the speculations and highlighted the team’s commitment to building a successful future.
Hamilton, currently in sixth place in the drivers’ championship, is yet to secure a podium finish for Ferrari. Failing to achieve a top-three finish in Austin would result in him setting a new record for the most races without a podium finish at the beginning of his tenure with Ferrari.
