A twisted murderer who subjected a young boy to torture and dismemberment in a gang-related incident left a chilling message for the victim’s loved ones and acquaintances. Keane Mulready-Woods became entangled in a drug conflict in Drogheda, Ireland, and was enticed to a residence on January 12, 2020. There, he fell victim to torture and decapitation at the hands of suspected serial killer Robbie Lawlor. This vicious act instilled fear in the streets of the port town, marking a shocking new depth in its ongoing gang warfare.
The victim’s limbs were callously discarded from a vehicle in a sports bag onto a footpath in Moatview, with his head, hands, and feet later discovered in a burned-out car in Dublin. Keane’s tragic demise triggered a chain of retaliatory assaults, culminating in Lawlor being fatally shot in April 2020. Lawlor, a 36-year-old hitman with a history of numerous criminal convictions, had evaded authorities following Keane’s murder, possibly driven by a disturbing social media video.
Lawlor’s vengeful mindset may have been fueled by a prior altercation where he was attacked outside a gym by someone connected to one of his alleged victims. The subsequent events leading to Keane’s death hinted at a possible motive for Lawlor’s heinous actions. Additionally, Lawlor believed Keane was implicated in the killing of his brother-in-law, adding further fuel to the escalating violence.
In the aftermath of Lawlor’s demise, revelations emerged about his penchant for disguises, including dressing as a woman to evade detection by law enforcement. Keane, at the time of his death, was under supervision after being convicted of intimidating a local mother regarding her child’s drug-related debts to the gang.
Following the brutal incident, mourners gathered at the Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove, to honor Keane Mulready Woods. Father Phil Gaffney condemned the perpetrators’ audacity in taking justice into their own hands, labeling their actions as arrogant, wicked, and evil.
