A woman who suffered severe facial injuries after a dog attacked her has undergone a series of surgeries to reconstruct her face. Jordan Wilson, 29, had her nose bitten off by a family friend’s Boerboel three-and-a-half years ago. The dog bit off her entire nose, causing significant damage and leaving her in excruciating pain.

Following the attack, Jordan underwent 16 surgeries, including nasal reconstruction using skin from her forehead to create a new nose. Despite the challenges she faced, Jordan has been gradually regaining her confidence and appearance, with friends and family noting her resemblance to her former self.

Reflecting on the incident, Jordan shared that she initially struggled with public appearances due to concerns about her altered appearance. However, she has since developed a new perspective on life and beauty, emphasizing the importance of inner qualities over external appearance.

The dog owner, Jordan’s brother-in-law, has taken responsibility for the medical expenses resulting from the incident. Although the police deemed the dog dangerous, it was not euthanized. Jordan expressed mixed feelings about the dog’s fate, acknowledging that while the attack was severe, it may not have been intentionally aggressive.

Despite the traumatic experience, Jordan remains an animal lover but is more cautious around dogs, especially when her children are present. She continues to undergo surgeries to refine the shape of her new nose and is determined to remain positive and share her journey to provide support to others facing similar challenges.
