Luca Saputo, the senior director of recruitment and sporting methodology at CF Montreal, emphasized the significance of Sánchez’s arrival, praising his exceptional technical abilities and extensive experience in top-tier football.

At 37 years old, Sánchez holds the record for the most goals scored in the history of Chile’s national team, known as La Roja, with an impressive tally of 51 international goals.
