Apple has unveiled its latest smartphone, the iPhone 17e, featuring significant improvements at a competitive price point. Equipped with a powerful A19 processor, MagSafe charging, durable construction, and an impressive single-lens camera, the device is priced at £599, which is £200 lower than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
In a similar vein, Samsung has confirmed the release of its new models, the A57 and A37, starting at a more budget-friendly price of £399. While these phones may not match the performance and advanced charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they boast a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience compared to the 60Hz display on the iPhone 17e.
The Galaxy phones from Samsung also feature other notable specifications such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance ratings. Additionally, Samsung has integrated various smart features into its new devices, including Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
Moreover, the Galaxy A57 and A37 introduce improved Voice Transcription functionality within the Voice Recorder app, allowing users to transcribe call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text easily. Samsung has committed to providing long-term support for these models, with up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting from April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced at £529 for the 256GB variant and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 for the 128GB version. The color options for the Galaxy A57 5G include Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will be offered in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
