Published on

Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is set to revolutionize the viewing experience. The renowned television provider is rolling out a comprehensive subscription package that combines some of the most popular streaming services globally, all at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at just £24 per month, both new and existing customers will soon have access to a bundle including Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app.

This all-inclusive package from Sky offers exceptional value, providing approximately £20 worth of streaming apps for a fraction of the cost. With Sky’s current basic plan priced at £15 per month, subscribers can enjoy the additional content for only an extra £9.

But that’s not all. Subscribers opting for the Ultimate TV plan will gain access to over 130 channels, featuring popular options like Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History, among others.

Moreover, Sky Cinema users will receive an added bonus—a dedicated Disney movie channel will be integrated directly into the planner, allowing seamless viewing of Disney blockbusters without the need to open the Disney+ app.

Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can seamlessly transfer their current plans, whether Standard or Premium, while retaining their profiles and viewing history.

Sky has confirmed that all supported apps will be easily accessible from the homepage, providing integrated content. This feature enables users to search for shows and films using voice commands and save them to a Playlist for future viewing.

The new Sky Ultimate plan will be available across multiple platforms, including Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, described the update as heralding a “new era” for Sky and NOW, as it brings together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. She emphasized the integrated viewing experience and the exceptional value offered, including HBO Max at no additional cost for NOW Entertainment customers.

This move underscores Sky’s commitment to innovation, simplifying the process for viewers to access premium entertainment through a single platform. The update is designed to enhance the overall viewing experience and consolidate entertainment options for consumers.

The comprehensive update includes:

– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads (effective from March, date TBD)
– HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching in the UK & Ireland on March 26)
– Hayu (available from July, with select top shows accessible from March)
– PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky
