The reason behind the death of Bárbara Jankavski, a popular Brazilian influencer known as Human Barbie, has been officially determined. Jankavski, aged 31, tragically passed away on November 2, 2025, after being found unconscious in the São Paulo apartment of Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, a 51-year-old public defender. Authorities have now confirmed that her death was accidental and resulted from the use of cocaine.
Following the confirmation of her death, an investigation was initiated as Pinto de Vitto informed the police that he had paid Jankavski for “sexual services” on the night she died. He revealed that they had both consumed illegal drugs before going to sleep, as stated in a police report.
Although the influencer’s cause of death corresponds with the account provided by the public defender, her family members have raised doubts about the official findings. Pinto de Vitto reportedly called emergency services upon noticing that Jankavski was unresponsive in her sleep. He mentioned attempting to assist her for nearly nine minutes before paramedics arrived, confirming her passing upon their arrival.
Reports indicate that when the São Paulo State Military Police arrived at the apartment, Jankavski was found wearing only her underwear, with bruising on her back and an injury next to her left eye. A friend informed the police that she had fallen and injured her face earlier in the week. Jankavski had amassed a significant following on social media platforms such as Instagram, with 55,000 followers, and TikTok, with 344,000 followers, by sharing her journey of aesthetic transformation.
Known for undergoing 27 plastic surgeries to resemble a Barbie doll, Jankavski’s most recent procedure was a facelift in June 2025. She had been inactive on social media for over a month before her demise. Her final post featured a video with another digital creator, Avós Da Razão, expressing her desire to meet and praising her energy and humor.
Upon news of her death, fellow influencers and fans expressed their condolences in the comment section. Messages included sentiments like “Rest in peace flower” and “Rest in peace my Barbie doll,” reflecting the impact Jankavski had on her followers.
