Major entities like the Premier League, Sky, and FACT are collaborating with authorities to curb the illicit side-loading of these devices. To combat illegal streaming, Amazon implemented a block on its latest Fire Stick, rendering VPNs ineffective in bypassing the block. This device-level restriction prevents “dodgy” apps from loading when launched by Fire Stick owners.

As a result, individuals resorting to alternative methods for illegal streaming face three significant risks, including malware infecting their devices.
