David Norris, the individual responsible for the death of Stephen Lawrence, expressed genuine remorse for his role in the attack on the young boy three decades ago during a parole hearing held today.

Appearing before a panel of prominent psychiatrists and corrections experts on the second day of the public hearing, Norris, along with another individual, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the racially motivated incident in Eltham, south London, in 1993.

In his statement during the hearing, Norris, who was shown from behind, acknowledged his deep regret for the murder, expressing the heavy burden of guilt he carried.
