A man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased man in Norwich early this morning.
Responding to a call just past 5 am, emergency services arrived at Somerleyton Street where a man was reportedly stabbed. Norfolk Police confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead on-site, and a suspect has been apprehended for potential involvement in the murder. Pictures from the location depicted police presence inside Somerleyton House, a residential facility catering to students and professionals situated just outside the city center of Norwich.
As part of the inquiry into the man’s demise, several individuals are being relocated temporarily from their residences, as stated by the authorities. Additionally, a police cordon has been established, with officers actively conducting investigations at the scene.
Superintendent Sonia Humphreys expressed, “We understand that this incident is distressing and may raise concerns within the community. A police cordon is in effect, and our officers are diligently working on-site to unravel the precise circumstances in the coming days.”
