Amazon has unveiled two new e-readers with color displays, offering a fresh alternative for readers seeking to upgrade from traditional black and white e-ink screens. These new devices complement the existing Colorsoft Signature Edition Kindle introduced last year, which also boasts a vibrant color screen.

The first addition to the lineup is the Kindle Colorsoft, featuring 16GB of storage, rapid page turns, adjustable warm light, long-lasting battery life lasting weeks, and full access to the Kindle bookstore. While it lacks some features of the Signature Edition such as extra storage, auto light adjustments, and wireless charging, it comes at a more affordable price point.

Priced at £239.99, the standard Colorsoft Kindle is a more budget-friendly option compared to the Signature version priced at £269.99. Customers can enjoy a 20% discount by trading in their old e-readers and receive three months of free access to Kindle Unlimited with the purchase of the Colorsoft.

In addition to these offerings, Amazon is also launching the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids, priced at £259. Amazon Kids+ provides access to a vast library of children’s books and audiobooks, usually priced at £4.99 per month, but included for free with the purchase of this Kindle.

Amazon’s research shows that kids spend over 45 minutes daily reading on their Kindle, with those enjoying graphic novels and comics reading 46% more than the average Kindle Kids reader.
