Whether it’s training for a marathon, focusing on gym gains, aiming to hit 10,000 steps a day, or ensuring we get enough sleep, many of us have a goal we’re striving towards to boost our health and happiness. For many, a fitness tracker is a must-have, monitoring the user’s progress with automated tracking and useful insights.
However, top-tier smartwatches and fitness trackers can be quite pricey, and when you add in the cost of running shoes, gym memberships or personal training sessions, it can quickly become an excessive expense. Amazon is now offering the Google Fitbit Charge 6 for less, reducing it from £139.99 to £108.99.
The gadget offers shoppers all the essential features they need on their health journey. It can be paired with any smartphone with iOS 15 or higher or Android OS 9 or higher and boasts features similar to those of other brands like the Apple Watch or Garmin, but at a more affordable price.

As reported by Bristol Live, the Fitbit Charge 6 can monitor heart rate, use a built-in GPS, and track over 40 exercises as well as all-day activity. Users can also see their fitness age and receive reminders to stand up and move around – the perfect nudge on those days when they’re not feeling up to it.
With the Fitbit Charge 6, users can leave their phone at home while out for a run. The watch provides access to Google Maps, Google Wallet, music controls, phone calls, text alerts, timers and stopwatches, all from the wrist.
Sleep is a crucial part of any health and fitness routine, and the Fitbit Charge 6 offers automatic sleep tracking, a personalised sleep profile and gives users a detailed sleep score if they have a premium membership – which comes included for six months when purchasing the watch – making it easy to determine whether they’re getting enough rest.
For those who are loyal Apple fans, Argos is selling the Apple Watch SE 2024 for £209 which is available in blue, black and champagne colours. The Apple Watch provides shoppers with access to health details, fitness workouts, sleep tracking and a heart rate monitor.
Another option could be the Garmin Venu 2 Smartwatch, priced at £179.99 at Boots. This gadget can assess stress levels, provide a sleep score and also track workouts.
Over 1,700 Amazon customers have given the Fitbit Charge 6 an overall rating of 4.2 out of five stars. One impressed shopper said: “Great item, I don’t use it to its full potential, but it’s great for keeping me motivated to move.”
“Great product. Does so much for a ‘little watch’,” wrote a second happy buyer. Another commented: “So many features. Lightweight, good battery life, and the screen is nice and clear. It doesn’t seem to be affected by water, and the connectivity is really good to your phone! Would recommend.”
However, some shoppers were left dissatisfied, as one explained: “I bought my Fitbit just to record my fitness and gym routine, but unfortunately, it has fallen short. It’s a good watch, but it doesn’t help or assist me with ongoing goals and targets.”
Someone else noted: “The reviews for this were great, so I ordered it. As soon as I tried the Fitbit, it was clear the strap was too small.”
On the other hand, another glowing review reads: “Reliable and at a good price. Purchased to replace an earlier model. Excellent product and easy to operate.”
