Chris Hughes has been dealt a blow on Celebrity Big Brother after the latest eviction. The Love Island star has hit the headlines as of late due to his growing bond with JoJo Siwa and his verbal altercation with Mickey Rourke.
Mickey was kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house over the weekend because of the sexual language he used to Ella and also because of a verbal disagreement with Chris over a pirate themed task.
The actor and boxer was hauled in front of Big Brother, where he was sent packing. He apologised for what he had said and done. In the Diary Room, he shared: “Yes sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line.
“And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.
“I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I’m sorry about that.
“I blame myself, I know it was my bad. You know, I’ve got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know. And I’m sorry for that. I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn’t chosen.”
Following his exit, focus has turned from Chris and Mickey to Chris and JoJo. The latter got called out by Big Brother for a rule break when they were seen writing on one another’s hands.
Whilst they insisted their chat wasn’t about nominations, they were still punished. Later, the pair came to the Diary Room, where JoJo admitted what their signalling was about.
She said: “It’s something that I’m not ready necessarily to be open about or upfront about but it has to do with gender and how do I feel. Let’s put it this way. Oh my God, this is a lot. Essentially, you have female, you have male. I’ve met a lot of females and love them but don’t feel like I’m them. Met a lot of males, love them but definitely not them. I’ve met a lot of people in my life that are non-binary and these beautiful non-binary people are who I feel the most like. It’s not something that I want to say about myself yet but it’s something that is confusing. So, that’s probably why we were talking about it last night.”
Chris has now been dealt a new blow. Bookmakers now say Danny Beard is favourite to win, with Chris having previously been the favourite. Danny Beard is now favourite to win at 7/4, whilst JoJo Siwa is second favourite at 3/1. Jack P. Shepherd has risen above Chris at 7/2 – despite being up for eviction twice – and Chris Hughes is now in fourth place at 9/2, according to Betfred.
